The technological innovation of the Sertec electromagnetic ﬁeld Protective Device SERTEC PDCE model Evolution multiple electrical ﬁeld compensator allows for the creation of an electric environment that is balanced between the ground and the wind turbine; this is deﬁned as an electrostatic current PASSIVE CAPTURING system on time, that sends them to the ground in weak currents leaking through the earth wire to the earth take, whose operating principle is based on balancing or compensating the existing variable electric ﬁeld in its surrounding, thus preventing the ascending tracer to generate in the product, in the blades, and in the turbines, as well as in the whole protective structure –depending on the protection design. In this way we will prevent the lightning from appearing in the protected structure.
When a thunder storm passes near a wind turbine, it imposes a strong electric ﬁeld in the turbine and blades. This electric ﬁeld ampliﬁes near the points of the blade, causing the air at the tip of the blade to ionize and form ascending leaders that connect with descending leaders, forming lightning and lightning ﬂashes impacting on the blades, causing remarkable damage.
Considering the need to protect wind turbines from lightning, we hereby present a solution that nulliﬁes the formation oﬂ ightning by 99%.
The main objective of the Sertec electromagnetic ﬁeld Protective Device PDCE is to prevent the protected structure from generating ascending tracers when the atmospheric electric ﬁeld appears.
For that purpose, every time there is a variation in the surrounding of the existing electric ﬁeld, the Sertec PDCE makes a of it until the same potential is obtained between both semispheres, generating in this process a current leak to earth. The fact that the bottom semi-sphere is united to the ground and to the metallic structures under it, will cause it to always be charged with the same charge the ground has; for this reason the top semi-sphere and all the metallic structures united to it will have the contrary charge, that is to say, the charge existing at the bottom part of the cloud. In the case of the wind turbines, and speciﬁcally for the blades, according to the proposed protection design, the result will be that its metallic parts will have a charge contrary to earth. Every time an electric ﬁeld variation is generated, provoked by its movement, or by its variations of the outside electric ﬁeld, the SERTEC PDCE will compensate it continuously, so that they w be able to generate ascending tracers, and therefore lightning impacts on them will conducot.

In fact, Paraguay is in the 6th. Post of deaths per million inhabitants with an indicator of 0.9 deaths per million, behind Cuba that heads the list and Panama, Peru, Colombia and Uruguay (source: ELAT/INPE, Brazil).
